From USD $1,899

What this is

This is a 200-hour, Yoga Alliance USA–registered Yoga Teacher Training focused on Ashtanga Vinyasa and Vinyasa Flow, run at Bhanuswari Resort & Spa in Kemenuh, Gianyar, near Ubud. The course runs 21 days, checking in on the 1st of the month and checking out on the 21st, with an opening ceremony on arrival day and a certification ceremony on the final morning. Classes run in groups of 20–22 students and cover asana, pranayama, meditation, anatomy, alignment, philosophy, and teaching methodology, with students evaluated through a written test, a practical asana test, attendance, and performance.

Who it's for

This one is built for beginners as much as experienced practitioners — the site is explicit that it starts at the base of yoga practice and moves systematically through both practice and teaching, and its own FAQ states a beginner can do a YTTC. If you want a structured, residential, all-in-one setup (room, meals, and classes on one site) rather than piecing accommodation together yourself, this is that option. Note the ashram states pregnant students cannot attend, as the course is too physically intense.

Requirements

  • Commitment to completing the full 21-day residential program
  • Participation in daily classes and training sessions

What you get

  • 200-hour Yoga Alliance USA registration
  • Full curriculum: Ashtanga primary series, Hatha and Vinyasa flow asana, pranayama, bandhas, mudras, meditation, yoga philosophy, anatomy and physiology, teaching methodology, and asana alignment/adjustment
  • Twin-shared or private accommodation for the 21 days, with hot water, attached bathroom, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and in-room TV/fridge
  • Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free meal options three times a day (breakfast only on days off)
  • One complimentary full-body Balinese massage
  • Free shuttle service from Ubud Center
  • Free airport pickup from Ngurah Rai International Airport

Why this is useful

Bali Yoga Ashram is a good fit if you want your teacher training to feel like a complete residential experience rather than simply attending yoga classes. Accommodation, meals, airport pickup, study materials, and several extras are bundled into the program, making it easy to focus entirely on your training once you arrive.

The curriculum is also designed around two complementary teaching styles—Ashtanga Vinyasa and Vinyasa Flow—while covering anatomy, alignment, meditation, pranayama, and yogic philosophy. That combination provides a broad foundation for students preparing to teach after graduation.

Another advantage is the monthly intake schedule. New courses begin on the first of every month, giving you more flexibility when planning travel compared with schools that only run a handful of intakes each year.

Turn Your Practice Into a Teaching Foundation

If you're looking for a structured, all-inclusive yoga teacher training that combines traditional practice with modern teaching skills, Bali Yoga Ashram offers an immersive path to earning your 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification while living and studying in Ubud.
